The Walter Foundation Policy Statement
At The Walter Foundation , we are committed to honoring God in all that we do. Our policies are guided by Scripture, Christian ethics, and a commitment to serve our congregation and community with integrity.
1. Mission and Vision
We exist to worship God, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurture spiritual growth, and serve others in love.
2. Governance
The Walter Foundation operates under the leadership of its appointed pastors and elders, accountable to both Scripture and the congregation. Decisions are made prayerfully, transparently, and in the best interests of the community.
3. Code of Conduct
All members, staff, and volunteers are expected to live in accordance with biblical values, demonstrating love, respect, honesty, and humility in all interactions.
4. Safeguarding
We prioritize the safety and well-being of children, youth, and vulnerable adults. All workers are to be appropriately screened, trained, and supervised to ensure a secure and caring environment.
5. Financial Integrity
The church maintains transparent stewardship of resources. Offerings and donations are used responsibly to support ministry, mission, and the needs of our community, whether as part of the church community or the wider community.
6. Community Life
We seek to foster unity, resolve conflicts biblically, and welcome all people with grace, compassion, and dignity. The Walter Foundation is a place of refuge, encouragement, and spiritual growth for all who come to us.
Please note the Walter Foundation is not currently a registered charity in new Zealand. Currently all funds got to help Uganda, so do not gain a nz donation exemption. It could be something we may achieve in the future. This website has been provided free of charge to the kind efforts and donations of those who are associated with the project and in association with heartsgrace.org
6. Nature of the Fund
- The fund is communal, not a personal savings account—contributions are pooled to benefit members in need.
- If you never require assistance, your contributions remain in the pool to help others.
- If your medical costs exceed your contributions, the fund may still support you, provided that adequate funds are available.
8. Limitations & Disclaimers
- Your access to the fund is contingent on the availability of pooled funds. There is no guarantee that contributions will cover all claims, especially for high-cost treatments.
- This offering does not constitute health insurance, nor does it provide a contractual guarantee of payment nor are funds for any one donor kept separately as a guarantee of savings.
9. Modifications
- We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to members through our usual channels.
- Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
